Association of British Investigators
With origins dating back to 1913, the Association of British Investigators is now recognised as the premier professional body for private investigators working in the United Kingdom. Throughout its long history, the Association has worked hard to improve the standing and reputation of the investigative professional.
The Association organises many seminars and workshops. These are designed to maintain standards and to provide a regular flow of information to the regional membership. A wide range of topics are covered, including changes to the law, and the latest trends and developments in techniques and equipment.
Investigators Sector Group
The Investigators’ Sector was formed to co-ordinate discussion and debate on the Private Security Industry Act, and to represent the interests of all practicing investigators in England and Wales on licensing issues following the enactment of the Act.
Joint Security Industry Council
JSIC helps coordinate representations from the industry in discussions with Government and the police on security industry matters, and in turn helps in the process of distributing information from these discussions and other sources back to the industry.
